The congress has gathered artound 60 persons and has been a good opportuniy to exchange information about artificial caves.

The proceedings will include a presentation for each paper presentation and for each visited souterrains (6) during the congress. (+ list of participants, map of the area, overview of the congress, ...)

Presentation    

The SFES is very happy to announce it's 25th congress that will take place the 20th, 21st and 22nd of July at the "salle polyvalente" of Saint-Rémy-sur-Durolle (Puy-de-Dôme). In the heart of Auvergne, this municipality belong to the Thiers hills and possesses a very large number of souterrains (man-made cavities). These souterrains have the particularity to be circular and possess horizontal bottleneck. The objective of this congress is to allow to everybody to discover these souterrains that, up to now, have not yet been very well understood.

As usual, this congress will also be the opportunity to present papers and discover new researches about artificial caves in France and in Europe.

We look forward to hear from you very soon. Be sure that this congress will be different of every other congress by the specificity of the regional souterrains.

If you wish to present a paper do not forget to fill the appropriate section in the booking form. All the paper abt the artificial cave will be welcome.

The public conference that will take place Saturday evening, will be in priority devoted to a paper about regional souterrains. If you want to present a paper at this public conference please mention it in the booking form.

Les mystères de Farges
Dans le petit hameau de Farges (commune de Saint-Nectaire), un producteur de fromage présente son activité dans une ancienne habitation troglodytique.
